Hi, my name is Will Martins. I’m a video generalist doing mainly compositing, 3D, graphic, motion design, animation, illustration and colour grading work but also enjoy working with sound design as well.

I attended the University of Technology, Sydney where I received a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a specialisation in Media, Arts and Production. I also studied at the School of Media and Communication at University of Leeds, UK.

During my time at UTS, I enjoyed a very broad education. I gained a deeper understanding of how cameras and lenses capture light and how light rays refract and converge to create an image. As well as technical skills, I also learned to think conceptually which is necessary to create a cohesive body of artwork.

I learned a lot about a lot of different disciplines, from 3D to programming and from audio engineering to directing. My main focus however was always film making and postproduction.

After my graduation I worked as an offline editor and motion graphics designer at different companies including MediaMonks, before joining Boomerang Agency (Publicis Groupe) in Amsterdam. I started as a compositor and 3d artist, and steadily grew into the role of VFX supervisor overseeing shoots on set. At Boomerang I worked on numerous commercials, music videos and interactive content for social.

​Because of my background in photography, illustration and animation, my work is like a missing link between still and moving images.
